2/1–Last day on Maui

Sigh.  Last day here.  So, it’s a relatively busy day – laundry, ironing, packing.  Ok, so that doesn’t take all that much time, especially since we’re up at the ungodly hour of 5:30 (Ed) and 6:30 (me).  But still. We thought about going to the beach this morning, but its a little hazy and chilly, so, why bother?  We can be cold right here in the condo.

We complete our morning walk, watch a bunch of whales from the Lanai, get the housework done and packed, and then just hang out and read.

Last happy hour at Life’s a Beach (otherwise known as LAB).  Once again the table behind us at the bar is the loudest table there – really anywhere. We don’t know what it is with that table, but it’s ear piercing every time we’ve been there. Tonight, there’s a guy who is laughing like crazy. He’s so happy, it’s contagious.  We just want to know what is so funny, and if he’ll remember it tomorrow.

We finish our wine (good pour, good price) and beer (HUGE beer and excellent price), then go across the street to Foodland for Poke and Tako for our dinner.  Last Poke for 3 weeks – I’ll take all I can get.

Last sunset on the lanai and it’s a pretty good one!

Then more reading, some TV watching and early to bed for our early morning flight to Oahu.  Love this island.  Can’t wait to come back again soon.
