9/26 The Cape and P-Town

Today dawns bright and lovely – we walk over to the Westin Copley and pick up our car.  After a brief glitch where we misplaced our GPS –in Ed’s pocket one minute, sliding down between the seats the next minute – we were on our way to the Cape.  We drove straight to Provincetown figuring we’d go to the farthest destination first (allowing for traffic). Wandered around P-Town, having a great lunch of Crabcake BLTs and Lobster sliders with chowder at The Patio then perusing the boutiques and pubs along Commercial street – with the obligatory visit to the beach and the shark!

Next, we stopped at Heaven Café, where we had heavenly cappuccino! Our large cappuccino came in a bowl – literally!  We decided it was Japanese cappuccino! Too fun!

Back in the car, we wanted to try to stop in Hyannis, but traffic and construction conspired to make us jettison that via point. We headed back into town and returned the car before our 5pm pumpkin time.  Hit the Shaw’s grocery store for more wine and beer, then headed back to the hotel for a brief rest before dinner.

Dinner tonight is at the Kashmir, an Indian restaurant on Newbury Street. We were early – so we ducked into Joe’s bar and restaurant for a quick beverage….

then onto the restaurant where we previewed beer and food for Matthias (Gaby and Sigis’ son) – who will soon be going to India for work!  Here are great suggestions for food and drink:

Rogan Josh (lamb), grilled shrimp, chicken curry, Lamb jahine (or something – excellent!) and of course Naan bread!

Wandered home, enjoying the lights and ambiance of the city.  Then had evening drinks in the lobby of the hotel.  Specially imported Calanda Beer for Sigis!

Off to bed now – ready for our next cruise adventure!
