11/3 - London Heathrow here we are!

Flights went like clock work.  Got to Dallas with out a problem, had the best time in the weird lounge (it was a series of balconies overlooking the concourse) talking to the bartender who has been everywhere! We traded stories and swapped places to visit. Nice.

Flight to London worked out great. After American changed the equipment and we lost our good pay seats (had a 2 seat configuration but got changed to a 3 with one taken in the middle), we ended up in the back of the bus in one of the few 2 only rows.  Crew was lovely, actually got the dinner we preferred, wine pours were quite generous, and except for the guy who tried to stuff his big bag on top of our backpacks (we emphatically told him no, he had to put the bag elsewhere) and the lady behind me who took forever to eat her food, and asked me not to recline my chair because "it was too narrow" (look Lady- the whole plane has eaten, the crew has cleaned the trays and I'm not waiting for you to finish your meal hours later so I can recline!). Minor annoyances.

We arrived 1 hour early, great city views and we landed....

...whisked through security and ensconced ourselves in the lounge - for the next 5 hours!!! It was crazy packed, but there was extra seating in this teeny little room that had 3 tables, 2 of which were reserved for Philippine airlines. Private lounge!
And here we sit! All alone in the quiet with our own coffee machine, and forays out into the crowded morass of the main lounge for food and beverages.

Less than 2 hours to go! Phew!

Next up, Barcelona.
