4/13-14 Sea Days

Nothing much to report on with sea days – the weather is hot, the days go by nicely with good lecturers and relaxing on the balcony, which is protected from the sun by the deck 10 overhang.  The only thing really to mention is that Celebrity – or at least this ship -  is now taking a page out of the Azamara playbook (sister companies and all – it makes sense).  At lunch in the buffet they have been serving local specialties almost every day.  One day it was fruit – they had fresh coconuts they hacked the top off to serve as coconut water, starfruit, dragon fruit, mango – and yes, even jackfruit!  I was in heaven.  Oh and that was also the day they had a selection of goat cheeses.  So I had goat cheese and jack fruit for lunch.  Best lunch ever!

Then one day they had a seafood buffet with selections of local seafood – they had King fish which is a big specialty in the UAE and Oman region.  Plus some other small fish, fried and served whole, which was excellent.  Even though the buffet is still a nightmare, the special offerings make it at least worthwhile to fight the hordes.

And that is about all there is to say about sea days!
