2/28–Last day aboard

The day starts out ugly – rain, clouds, humidity. Darn!  But we’ve got things to do in the morning.  The Make a Wish foundation walk has been postponed until today – so we are hoping it will clear by then. The Captain has his talk today – and Captain Rob is a hoot.  They guy is a stand up comedian.  His noon announcements make us laugh every day (today he says he hopes we’ve enjoyed the sailing as much as they’ve enjoyed taking us for a ride).  He is Mr. Innuendo.  So we are looking forward to his talk.

Alas, the Make a Wish foundation walk is canceled for good – the decks are too wet. We buy the t-shirts (to add to our growing collection) and donate extra anyway.  Then onto the Captain.  As usual, he’s a card.  He half answers some questions, but then goes into tons of detail on others, and of course throws tons of jokes in as well.  Can’t remember any of them now (since this is once again, a post-trip blog) but he kept us entertained for over an hour.

Then its packing time.  Not so bad since we will be on land for about a week and don’t need to worry about airline weight restrictions yet.
